A Tropical
Beachfront Retreat
Designed for a beachfront resort, this project began as a proposal for double-container-sized mild steel accommodation units. However, the coastal environment posed a significant challenge, as salt-laden air and high humidity would accelerate steel corrosion and increase long-term maintenance.
To create a more durable and timeless solution, we replaced the MS container concept with a custom-designed concrete and toughened glass structure. A double-height living space and space-saving mezzanine bedroom maximize openness while capturing beautiful views of the swimming pool and surrounding landscape.
The architecture is complemented by a circular landscape concept that creates interactive outdoor experiences, strengthens connections between resort amenities, and enhances the overall guest journey. The result is a contemporary tropical retreat that balances durability, luxury, and a seamless connection to nature.
